Activity Status- Heart icon will take you to the page that displays all your follow requests, comments, likes on your photos etc.

Profile icon- This icon will take you to the page where all your posts, bio, username, profile picture, highlights will be visible.

Plus sign- By tapping on that plus sign you'll get options to upload posts, stories, reels, Instagram live etc.

Messenger icon- All your message and chats will be visible their.

Steps to set up an Instagram Business Account

Here is a list of steps to set up a business account on Instagram by Facebook help center :-

To switch your profile to a business account:

1. Go to your profile and tap Menu in the top right-hand corner.

2. Tap Settings

• For some accounts, the Switch to professional account option will be listed directly under Settings.

3. Tap Account.

4. Tap Switch to professional account.

5. Tap Business.

6. If you’d like, you can follow the steps to connect your business account to a Facebook Page associated with your business. This step is optional, and will make it easier to use all of the features available for businesses across the Facebook family of apps. At this time, only one Facebook Page can be connected to your business account.

7. Add details, such as your business category and contact information.

8. Tap Done.

With a business account, you’ll be able to access insights that can help you understand who is engaging with your business on Instagram. You’ll also have access to the professional dashboard, where you can track your performance, access and discover professional tools and explore educational information curated by Instagram.

You also have the option to display or hide your business category and contact information on your profile. After setting up, go to your profile and tap Edit profile. Go to Profile display under Public business information to choose whether you want to hide or display your category label and contact info. Then, tap Done.

Instagram Marketing strategies

1. Turn your personal account to Business account

Just turn your already existing account to business account or form a new one for business purposes because first and foremost step of Instagram marketing is creating a professional business account.

This way your audience can directly go on your website(if any) you have added in your Instagram or they can connect you via the contact option on Instagram by mailing you or by calling you if you have made you phone number public.

Business account will also allow you to make your own advertisements without using Facebook’s advertising tools and you can also use insights feature in your Instagram account which will show the age as well as the gender of people who were more attracted to your profile, this will also show the time and day on which most of uiur audience saw your post.

2. Know the use of Instagram tools

There are many hidden features on Instagram through which you can do marketing in a much better way, one such feature is Insights through which you could know the demographics of your audience like their age, gender, the place they belong and hours during which they were active the most. You can know the insights of a particular day, week or month. This will help you to know your target audience better according to which you can post your content to gain even more audience.

3.Advertising your product with increase audience’s interest

Those influencers have a wide reach and network they can play a major role in promoting your business due to their wide reach. You could also gain the attention of influencers by tagging them in your stories or by using hashtags of their or you could even pay them to promote your brand.

7.Use hashtags

Using hashtags play a major role in increasing audience engagement, when a person searches something that is added as a hashtag in your post at that time your post will also be shown there. Use as much as relevant hashtags as you can but do not randomly use any hashtag that doesn’t even match the niche of you post.

8.Post frequently but do not overpost

Frequent posting is mandatory to increase your reach on Instagram but do not overdo it as this could irritate your followers and this could make them unfollow you. Also keep in mind the time during which you are posting something because audience engagement is not same all the time as the best time to post during the day is 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM, as well as 2:00 AM.on the other hand the worst days to post something on Instagram are Wednesday and Sunday and the best days to post are Monday and Thursday.
