Boosting immunity admist Coronavirus Pandemic

Coronavirus is considered as a global pandemic by World Health Organization (WHO). Considering the rise of this pandemic in India, Government of India declared to keep India under a complete lockdown. It's been around 2 months, and the cases are still increasing day by day, and we all know that this lockdown cannot be extended for a whole year, or we can say till time an antidote is made. This lockdown costed trillions of rupees to our country. At this point of time one of the biggest initiative that can save our lives is increasing our immunity so that our body can fight this virus. There are various ways through which we can possibly increase our immunity and some of them are.. 

++Increasing the consumption of vitamin C rich food such as-Guavas, Kiwifruit, Bell Peppers, Strawberries, Oranges, Papaya, Broccoli, Tomato, Snow Peas, Kale, etc. 
++ Increasing the amount of vitamin D in body because we may be deficient at this time of the year due to decrease in outdoor activities. Sources of vitamin D are Salmon, Herring and sardines fish, Cod liver oil, Canned tuna, Egg yolks, Mushrooms, Fortified foods, Cow's milk, Soy milk, Orange juice, cereal, and oatmeal oatmeal etc. 
++ Taking Zinc supplements. 
++ Turmeric is among the richest food sources of Iron - 67.8 mg per 100g of turmeric powder. One teaspoon (3g) of turmeric powder provides 2 mg of Iron - 10% of the adult daily requirements and it also acts as immunity booster and has germicidal properties. 
++ Echinacea: It is best known for its beneficial effects on the immune system.
++ Garlic: Garlic is a popular remedy for helping to boost the immune system. 
++ Nutritious food such as- 
   > Fruits, veggies, and seeds. 
   > Refined carbs and sugars. 
++ Eating a nutritious diet that minimizes high blood sugar
++ Prioritizing restful sleep
++ Managing your stress
++ Quit smoking
++ Participating in moderate exercise that you enjoy
++ Being exposed to sun for about 15-20 minutes. 

Remember, however, the diet has the magical quality that will keep you safe from infection. You still need to wash your hands, wear mask and practice physical distancing to prevent the spread of this virus.

Amid Corona virus outbreak the term social distancing is embraced by everyone be it government, Media, or any other social media platform. Term social distancing means to distance yourself and break all the ties with your family and friends physically as well as mentally.
